Green Design and Build is led by Dekel Sofer. We have completed hundreds of projects: ADUs and garage conversions, kitchens, bathrooms, room additions, whole-home renovations, roofing, foundation work, flooring, painting, windows and doors, pavers and patio covers. The reviews below cover that whole range, which is the point: the same people and the same process run a flooring job and a second story.

I hired GDB for a big project around my house and couldn’t be happier! I’d been looking into getting a ADU for a while and also needed to redo part of my outdoor fencing (beware of fallen trees!) so I chose to bite the bullet and get them done at the same time. Drake was incredibly kind and professional, him and his team were very thorough and patient (I can be a perfectionist) and the results are absolutely stunning! Two of my other friends have already started projects with him to “copy” and “paste” my ADU to their lots. He’s the best!

What customers mention most
Reading the reviews above and the rest on Yelp, the same things come up.
The budget held, or the reason it moved was explained. The kitchen reviewer’s job “came in within my budget,” and the roofing reviewer’s note that we “were not the cheapest but they were excellent” is a fair summary of how we price: a written, itemized proposal after a site visit rather than a low number that grows. When “unpredictable issues arose,” as the kitchen reviewer puts it, they were worked through with the homeowner, not billed quietly.
Design help before construction. Reviewers mention the 3D rendering on a kitchen, showroom visits to choose tile, flooring and a vanity, and “excellent design ideas” on a bathroom. That is the design-build part of what we do: you approve the layout and the selections before demolition.
Responsiveness. “Very responsive,” “quick to recommend ideas,” “took his time to explain the scope of work.” A homeowner with one point of contact who explains what is happening is the difference between a remodel that feels managed and one that feels endured.
Speed and quality together. Two bedrooms of flooring, baseboards and furniture moved in one day; a roof after a fire done with “great quality work.” Small jobs get the same crew discipline as large ones.
Coming back. Two of the reviewers above say they plan to return, one for an ADU and one for a pool renovation. Repeat customers are the review we care about most.
How we ask for reviews
We ask once, after the final walkthrough, when the punch list is closed and the last inspection has passed. We send a link to Google and Yelp and leave it there; we do not offer discounts or gifts for reviews, we do not write them, and we do not ask anyone to remove a critical one. If a review points to something we got wrong, we contact the homeowner and fix it, which is the same thing our one-year labor warranty promises.

Yes.
