Why plan Feng Shui with your builder

Moving a front door on a drawing costs nothing. Moving it after the walls are framed costs a change order. Classical Feng Shui works best before the big decisions are locked in: which way the entrance faces, where the bedrooms and the stove go, and how you move through the house.

Meet Galeet Gia Zeituny

Galeet began studying Classical Feng Shui in 2000 at the Israeli Feng Shui Academy, where she learned from Shoham Visman, Master Raymond Lo, Master Joseph Yu, Sharona Poms and Zohar Eliav.

She is also a Los Angeles artist who has painted full time since 2011. Her work has been shown at the LA Art Show and featured in the Jewish Journal. She can advise not only on where things go, but on the colors and the art that suit each room.

What a Classical Feng Shui reading looks at

Classical Feng Shui studies how time, direction and space interact in a home. It is a method, not a decorating style.

Direction: the exact compass degree your home faces, taken with a Luo Pan, the Feng Shui compass.
Time: the year the home was built. Each 20-year period gives a house a different energy pattern. We entered Period 9, led by the Fire element, in February 2024; it runs to February 2044.
Space: the floor plan: where the entrance, bedrooms, kitchen and work spaces sit.
People: who lives in the home and what they want from it, whether that is rest, relationships, health or prosperity.

What is Classical Feng Shui?

Classical Feng Shui is a traditional Chinese method that studies how time, direction and space interact in a building. A consultant reads the home’s exact facing direction, the period it was built in and its floor plan, and then recommends how to arrange and use the space.

Do I have to be a Green Design and Build client to book a consultation?

No. You can add a Feng Shui consultation to a Green Design and Build project, or book it on its own for the home you live in now.

When is the best time to add Feng Shui to a remodel or ADU?

Before the plans are final. The entrance, the facing direction and the room layout are easy to change on paper and expensive to change once construction starts.

What do you need from me?

The direction your front door faces, the year the home was built, and a floor plan if you have one. If you don’t know these, we’ll work them out together.
